Thanksgiving

     Thanksgiving this year it was my parent's year. Tyler's parent's had decided to come out to Cali for Christmas so we could afford to make the long trek home! I was worried about the 11 hour drive, with a recently potty trained 3 yr. old but we went for it.

     We left about 2 that afternoon. We stopped in Vegas and had dinner with my brother. We went to this awesome burger place, that I can not remember the name of. It was like gourmet burgers. SO yummy. By the time we got done it was just about bed time so we jumped in the car and hoped the kids would fall asleep. They did, and after some snow, some middle of the night pit stops for Sophia, and lots of snacks later. We made to my parents about 3 am. I did not call my mother ahead of time to tell her we were coming early so they were quite surprised. Also lucky for me my parents are night owls because they were both up. ha ha

     We got to spend a week and a half at my moms and everyday was filled with friends, family, repeat. It was so fun! I didn't realize how much I missed home till I went back! I was caught up in the excitement of moving but once I made home I didn't want to leave again.

     Thanksgiving day my brother drove up and we were all there except Ben and Jess who live in Canada now.  It was just a relaxing day filled with lot's of food. The next morning we woke up early and went black friday shopping. This year it was awesome! All the crazies went Thanksgiving night and by the time we got up at 5 and went all the shelves were restocked, lines gone, crazies in bed! It was awesome! We were in and out of all our stores in like 15 min. and got everything we wanted. I did all of Christmas for my family of 4 for under $100. I was pretty proud of myself.

The aerospace museum was one of the many things we did over Thanksgiving.

     The rest of the week was spent playing and shopping and eating more. My mother sent us home with all our Christmas gifts, all Ben's gifts, and I had all the stuff from black Friday. It was a miracle I didn't have stuff strapped to the roof!

     It was an amazing trip and it was so hard to leave again! I miss my family, they are my best friends! We think about you guys everyday! Sophia asks for you guys everyday. Nana, Papa, Grandma, Grandpa,  and cousins are very common subjects Sophia brings up to talk about. Thanksgiving was great!

Thanksgiving

     The week before and the week of thanksgiving were quite eventful for us! First Sophia got moved over to a big girl bed. She loved it! Here she is in the adorable quilt my mother made her that I have been saving since her first birthday.  

     She did really well. The first 3 nights she got out of bed 3ish times and I would immediately go put her back in bed. The 4th night she either fell out of bed or woke up scared in the middle of the night and we had to put her back in bed 3x again. Since then she has never gotten out of bed since. It has been wonderful. Naps have still been happening too. When she wakes up if I don't get her right away she just reads her books or plays with her toys. Sometimes I might leave her in there a while if she is happily playing, oops. 

Sophia's hair is finally long enough with curls to wear in a ponytail! it only took two years! I love how perfectly imperfect it is, and how the curls hang out.

      The Sunday before thanksgiving we had a sibling thanksgiving at Hanna and Eric's place. Even Nathan and Seth came up for it. It was really fun and I am glad we did it since we were all in different place for thanksgiving. It was a fun night and the girls decided to top it off with a lovely mess. 

      While we were in the kitchen visiting after dinner we realized the it was a little to quite. The girls tend to scream when they play together and there was none of that going on. We went looking for them and this is what we found!

     The girls had played in the Toilet and toilet paper. Made a lovely mess and soaked each other in it. The funny part is that the door was closed and the toilet bowl closed, which Mia can't get into. Sophia has never played in the toilet bowl before ever. So Mia and Sophia somehow communicated to each other and got Sophia to open the door to the bathroom and open the toilet and play in it. Ha ha those stinkers. They were immediately put in the tub. We are in for it when these girls are 4 or 5 and can talk and conspire with each other ha ha.   

     So after that on Tuesday afternoon we headed to Ely for thanksgiving. It was just us and Seth out there for the week. We got in just in time to make it to Seth's basketball game. It went into overtime and he scored the winning basket! It was really fun to see him play. Wed. Tyler drove out to Logandale and St. George to pick up Gandpa Bohn and Aunt Millie. 

     Thursday, our Thanksgiving day was lovely. We ate to much, had 9 pies for 10 adults, and had lots of good company and relaxation.  

     Friday Aunt Millie and Saundra and I went black Friday shopping in Ely! Ha ha it was actually really fun and we found some really good deals. 

     Saturday we went to chop down some trees. Sophia was so excited, so was Aunt Millie! Grandpa Robertson gave us the perfect location of some great trees and we all headed out.

     Saturday night we finished the weekend with some hair cuts and a movie. Then Sunday we headed home. Sophia got this princess crown on our shopping trip and she loved it. ha ha I had to take this pic of us going home.

On the way home our mileage hit 123456 and Tyler made me take a pic of it! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! We sure did and I am so grateful for all the wonderful people in our lives and family we have!

Thanksgiving

     I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We sure did, but I of course forgot to take pics of it at all. We ate tons of food, Hung out with all of my family, stayed the weekend at my moms, set up Christmas decorations, went shopping, played games, and had our first eggnog of the season. All around it was a fun weekend break! 


     We did go black Friday shopping, it actually started Thursday night this year at ten pm. It was insane of course, but we got some really good stuff and saved tons of money! We love going every year. I have to say though I really hope they just change it back to early morning Friday. I like it much better than all night Thursday night. 


     We did set up our Christmas tree the next day. I figured Sophia would be all over the ornaments, but she has surprisingly not been. She does like to go up and touch them but she leaves them on the tree. I even have presents under it and she hasn't even touched them at all. 

     We did green and silver with giant green sparkly snowflakes, which I love! I also used all plastic balls so even if Sophia does start to grab them off the tree they won't break. Which is nice not to have to worry about. 

     We also stopped by the annual lighting festival at the Riverwoods in Provo. They had tons of fun activities for kids and they had Santa. I only took this one picture because my Camera is crappy and in the dark nothing showed up good. It was a lot of fun though they had face painting, balloon animals, free carriage rides, a bell choir, Santa Clause, and they were giving out all kinds of free yummy treats! It was a lot of fun and Sophia and dad had to try out all the motorcycles out on display. 

     The only down part to our whole weekend was Sophia caught a cold. Probably from on of the many cousins she was around all weekend. So this week we will spend lots of time cuddling in our sweats and recovering from her cold. That's the best part of having a sick baby at home.
